Join the Rock Creek Chamber Players in their new home for a fabulous opening concert. To begin, Harriet Kaplan brings us Bach's 5th solo cello suite. Pianist Steve Schwarz follows with a Haydn keyboard sonata.

After intermission we welcome a new performer, Austin Marks, to play a transcribed Vivaldi cello sonata on his -- get this -- tuba with pianist Dana Smith. To round out the program, five woodwind players and a bass perform the lighthearted Bohemian Cafe by innovative composer Stacy Garrop. Several of the Garrop players are traveling from Pittsburgh to play for us.
